Learning the Fundamentals
We have a long term plan for kids. Yes, we provide the workouts: long endurance days, interval training days, hill climbing days. We work on drills, proper form, strength and core work, as well as proper post run stretching.
But even more than this, we want to teach kids the how and the why of training; why steady runs are important, how to properly pace yourself during high intensity intervals, the importance of recovery days, how to incorporate strength work into a training plan, why proper form is important, etc.
We want our kids to know how to train and understand the fundamentals so they take these skills with them into adulthood and for the rest of their lives.
-
We train three weekdays a week: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, and we have a Saturday session about once a month.
-
We have runners of all abilities, some very accomplished and talented. However, we are open to newer and beginner runners even if they may require some special attention in the beginning.
-
We are in and around the Tustin Ranch community, and serve Tustin Ranch, Tustin, Irvine and parts of Orange. We meet at Hick’s Canyon Park, Citrus Ranch Park and Santiago Hills Park.
-
If you’re trying us out to see if it works for you, our first month is free. After that, it’s $125 a month, plus a running uniform purchase once-a-year. (around $150).
